Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Laborer/Helper to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting construction projects by performing physically demanding tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring that safety standards are upheld at all times. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, including material handling and organizing tools and supplies
- Support skilled workers by carrying materials, setting up scaffolding, and operating basic power tools under supervision
- Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy materials safely and efficiently in accordance with safety regulations
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety standards and construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment
- Climb ladders, scaffolds, or other structures safely while using proper respiratory protection when necessary
- Implement safety protocols related to respiratory protection, climbing procedures, and heavy lifting to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to construction tools and equipment operation
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards
- Proficiency in manual handling techniques and heavy lifting practices
- Experience with power tools used in construction settings
- Knowledge of climbing procedures, scaffolding safety, and respiratory protection requirements
- Effective communication skills for working collaboratively with team members on-site
