Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Quality Control Associate to join a cheerleading apparel manufacturing company. This position is responsible for inspecting uniforms, apparel, and accessories throughout the production process to ensure they meet company quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, works well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and is committed to delivering high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect cheerleading uniforms, apparel, and accessories throughout the production process.
- Examine garments for defects such as incorrect stitching, fabric flaws, sizing inconsistencies, loose threads, missing embellishments, and color variations.
- Verify measurements, logos, lettering, specifications, and design details against production requirements.
- Perform final inspections before products are packaged and shipped.
- Document quality issues and communicate defects to production supervisors.
- Ensure products meet company standards for craftsmanship, fit, appearance, and durability.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports.
- Collaborate with sewing, cutting, embroidery, heat press, and production teams to improve product quality.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Assist with continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and increase production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous quality control, garment inspection, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience inspecting apparel, uniforms, textiles, or sewn products is a plus.
- English preferred; bilingual candidates are welcome. English communication is required for training and workplace safety.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality defects.
- Ability to read measuring tapes and verify garment measurements accurately.
- Basic understanding of garment construction, sewing techniques, and fabric quality.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and production conditions.
