Job Summary
In this role, the Financial Forecasting Analyst candidate would be asked to support the financial and project planning needs of a division, supporting leadership with organizational functions, and helping facilitate the needs of a core group of engineers working on mission critical tasks. ISG has comparatively placed analysts and engineers on-site for support, training, and guidance, however the Financial Forecasting Analyst will be expected to work semi-independently as an embedded resource within a DOD team.
Specific duties may include:
- Creating detailed excel dashboards to provide comprehensive financial overview of funds received, funds spent, projections, individual project breakdowns and manpower estimates.
- Utilize business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and VBA to visualize data insights effectively
- Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets using SQL, Excel pivot tables, and Excel data analysis tools for accurate financial reporting
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for management that highlight key insights and recommendations.
- Conduct quantitative research and analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, financial risks, and profitability metrics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic planning initiatives involving budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
- Develop strategies for managing ongoing projects incorporating Earned Value Management to assess whether the project is on schedule, at risk, or falling behind
- Some administrative duties such as organizing and attending key meetings, capture discussions, and producing concise, accurate meeting minutes for distribution, scheduling and coordinate meetings with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders
Qualifications
This position requires a Bachelor's level degree in a Business-Related Field such as Accounting, Finance, Economics to apply. The ideal candidate will take pride in being organized and will be able to set appropriate work priorities independently. Strong attention to details/deadlines and the ability to timely follow-up are preferred, along with proficiencies in certain traits/skills;
- Effective communication skills for writing clear financial reports and delivering insights through data visualization tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel that includes advanced functions like pivot tables, vlookups, and indexing.
- Strong knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau or Power BI
- Must pass criminal background check and be prepared to obtain Department of Defense security clearance.
- Needs at least 2 years of experience in any field related to business metrics, financial management, financial reports, tracking schedule, cost performance tools, and databases.
- Experience with SAP or commercial off-the-shelf ERP software solution is considered a plus
- Experience with SQL for data collection and database querying is considered a plus

Pay: $50,000 – $54,000 per year
Expected hours: 9-5, must keep the same hours as client
