Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Twos Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children aged two to three years old. Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic, age-appropriate curriculum plans tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
- Engage children in hands-on activities that promote cognitive, motor, language, and social skills development aligned with childhood development standards.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies that support emotional regulation and social interaction.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school connections.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare and developmental progress.
- Incorporate special education principles and early intervention strategies when supporting children with diverse learning needs or developmental delays.
- Lead lesson planning sessions that integrate classroom experience, standardized testing insights, and early childhood education best practices.
- Maintain current certifications such as First Aid and CPR to ensure safety at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in a classroom or childcare setting, preferably with preschool or toddler-aged groups.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques specific to toddlers.
- Experience teaching physical education activities suitable for early learners to promote motor skills development.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists in early intervention or special education.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety procedures.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, and social-emotional learning strategies.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR from an approved provider is required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Demonstrated understanding of behavior management techniques that foster positive classroom environments.
- Knowledge of preschool teaching standards, standardized testing procedures for early learners, and private school educational practices is preferred.
