Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Welder, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal structures, ensuring compliance with industry codes and standards. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, particularly on construction sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using various methods including Stick welding and other techniques as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Assemble metal components according to design specifications.
- Operate cranes and other machinery safely while handling materials.
- Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure quality and adherence to codes and standards.
- Utilize tools such as micrometers for precise measurements during fabrication.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Welder with proficiency in multiple welding techniques.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents including schematics and blueprints.
- Familiarity with machining processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards related to welding practices.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks effectively.
- Certification in welding or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
