About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our facility's equipment and systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and maintain industrial control systems. Your proactive approach and commitment to safety will contribute to the overall efficiency and success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and testing equipment to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on equipment, fixtures, and systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Modify, lubricate, and operate equipment according to established procedures, contributing to efficient and safe operations.
- Maintain and troubleshoot industrial control systems to support seamless production processes.
- Document repairs, parts usage, and material consumption accurately to maintain inventory and track maintenance activities.
- Adhere to plant safety rules and practices, including safe lifting and machine operation, to ensure a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and safely, fostering a positive and productive work atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a maintenance field or similar environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Experience using shop equipment such as hydraulic and mechanical presses, grinders, drill presses, mills, lathes, and power tools.
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and solutions to cross-functional teams.
- Must have own toolbox and basic tools.
- 6+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in high-speed manufacturing, bottling, beverage, packaging, or plastics industries.
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFD), servo drives, servo motors, rotary equipment, thermodynamics, heat transfer, or plastics processing equipment.
- Skilled in fabrication capabilities such as cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick).
- Experience working with electrical systems, including 480VAC & 24VDC power.
- Familiarity with Krones, Sidel, or Husky equipment.
- Associate’s Degree in manufacturing, manufacturing technology, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, manufacturing automation or other similar manufacturing-related specialization
