The primary role of the Kitchen Steward is to keep the kitchen and surrounding prep areas clean, safe, and sanitary by following daily cleaning schedules and adhering to state health and hygiene regulations.

Operate and maintain kitchen cleaning equipment, including dishwashing machines, hand-washing stations, pot-scrubbing sinks, and the trash compactor.
Wash, sanitize, and disinfect kitchen surfaces, prep tables, storerooms, knives, cutting boards, and cooking tools.
Safely use detergents and sanitizing chemicals in the 3-compartment sink for manual dishwashing.
Rack, spray, and wash all dishware, cookware, and utensils, inspecting items to ensure they are clean before storing them in their proper locations.
Sort, soak, and wash silverware, ensuring all pieces are spotless before returning to service.
Break down dirty bus tubs and organize soiled wares efficiently.
Sort, break down, and dispose of trash, glass, and recyclable cardboard in appropriate dumpsters and bins.
Sweep, mop, and maintain clean floors across all assigned outlet kitchens and service areas.
Practice proper stock rotation, maintain clean refrigeration units, and keep all workstations tidy and organized.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of culinary workstations and special events around the property.
Support other resort operation areas as needed or instructed by management.
Follow all company safety, security, and sanitation guidelines.
Maintain strict guest confidentiality at all times.
Education: High school diploma, GED, or related vocational coursework.
Experience & Skills: Basic understanding of kitchen safety, cleaning standards, and dishwashing machine operation.
Hospitality: Commitment to world-class service standards and teamwork.
Licensure & Certifications: State Driver’s License.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand/arm motions for the duration of a shift.
Ability to work comfortably in a wet, warm, and high-volume kitchen environment.
Ability to safely lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs (such as dish racks, trash bags, and food boxes).
