The SQL Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining SQL databases, creating and optimizing SQL queries, and ensuring data integrity and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database development, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases for use in healthcare applications
- Create and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing proper data backup and recovery procedures
- Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to understand database requirements and provide technical solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues
- Develop and maintain database documentation and data dictionaries
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in database technology
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Assist with data migration and integration projects
- Support and maintain existing database systems
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a SQL Developer or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database design principles
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, and/or Oracle databases
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures
- Familiarity with database administration and performance tuning
- Experience with data migration and integration projects
