Wartech Engineering is a dynamic, fast-paced small business defense contractor seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our team.
This position will be responsible for fabrication and welding of various parts & assemblies made from structural steel and aluminum materials to American Welding Society codes D1.1, D1.2 & D1.17. With a high focus on weld quality & fabrication accuracy.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience with industrial metalworking processes
- Experience operating equipment including, but not limited to the following: MIG (GMAW) welder, TIG (GTAW) welder, Oxy/Acetylene cutting torch, plasma cutter, ironworker, bandsaws, grinders, bevelers
- High level of skill in fabrication and layout ability.
- Welding/joint preparation knowledge and skill required
- Print and weld symbol reading skills required
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of reading blueprints, paperless prints and 3D models
- Solid mathematical comprehension as applicable to daily operations including fractions, additions, subtracting and basic equations
- Strong understanding of Forklift and Gantry Cranes including the ability to lift and manipulate heavy steel safely into position for welding or transport and using proper rigging techniques
Preferred:
- Experience in the defense industry
- Familiarity with Epicor Kinetic or similar ERP systems
- CWI

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday 6am-2pm (overtime 6am-4pm shift varies)
