Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing - Home Health & Hospice to lead our nursing teams in providing exceptional care across home health and hospice services. This pivotal role demands a passionate leader with comprehensive knowledge of long-term care, acute care, and hospice regulations. As a key member of our healthcare leadership team, you will oversee clinical operations, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and foster a compassionate environment dedicated to improving patient quality of life. Duties
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all nursing operations within home health and hospice programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Supervise nurse management staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development.
- Develop, review, and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each resident’s needs while ensuring compliance with long-term care regulations and Medicare requirements.
- Oversee documentation review processes to ensure accuracy in medical records, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems, maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Monitor shift management to optimize staffing levels, improve workflow efficiency, and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Ensure all nursing staff adhere to safety protocols related to medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives by reviewing documentation, conducting audits on medical records, and implementing improvements based on regulatory updates or audit findings.
- Stay current with changes in healthcare laws affecting long-term care facilities and hospice services to maintain compliance with federal (including Medicare) and state regulations.
Skills
- Extensive assisted living experience combined with nursing home expertise demonstrating strong leadership in long-term care settings.
- Proven management skills with supervising experience in clinical environments such as home health or hospice care.
- Deep understanding of acute care practices alongside specialized knowledge of hospice care protocols.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for documentation review, resident records management, and shift management.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the regulatory landscape governing healthcare facilities.
- Excellent nurse management capabilities including administrative clinical supervision and leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with Medicare policies related to home health services and hospice reimbursement processes.
- Ability to foster a compassionate environment while maintaining high standards of nursing practice aligned with HIPAA regulations.

Pay: $40.92 - $49.28 per hour
