About Apex Materials
Apex Materials is seeking experienced Class A CDL Drivers to join our growing team. We are looking for safe, reliable, and professional drivers with experience operating side dumps, double belly dumps, and/or end dumps. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and bonus opportunities.
Position Summary
The Class A Double Driver position is a safety-sensitive role responsible for transporting aggregate materials to and from job sites throughout Nevada. Drivers are expected to operate equipment safely, perform required inspections, and maintain assigned vehicles in accordance with company policies and DOT regulations.
This position may require day, night, graveyard, weekend, and holiday shifts. Applicants must be available to work all shifts and days as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate side dump, double belly dump, and/or end dump equipment.
- Transport aggregate materials to designated job sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and report maintenance needs promptly.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT, state, local, and company safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs and required documentation.
- Keep assigned equipment clean and in safe operating condition.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Doubles/Triples and Tanker endorsements required.
- Valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission (stick shift).
- Minimum of one (1) year of verifiable experience operating side dumps, double belly dumps, and/or end dumps.
- Minimum of 3 years driving experience.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must successfully pass a background check, FMCSA Clearinghouse review, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
- OSHA 10 Certification (preferred)
