DUTIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- Collaborate with upper management and execute day-to-day onshore product processing and shipping activities.
- Oversee a crew of up to four employees in the processing shop location.
- Must possess the ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines while pursuing daily goals in a fast-paced environment.
- Act as a bridge of information between upper management and shop employees.
- Collaborate daily with the Director of Marine Operations/owner to ensure customer satisfaction, desired number of shop employees present, and overall shop standards are met.
- Transport shellfish products via medium-duty commercial vehicle from the company docks to the processing shop.
- Coordinate with the Director of Marine Operations/owner to fulfill daily/weekly customer requests by packaging large shellfish orders and storing them in industrial refrigeration units until transport.
- Strictly adhere and uphold the standard sanitation/temperature conditions enforced by the Connecticut Department of Aquaculture.
- Report directly to the onshore supervisor (Director of Maintenance) when the Director of Marine Operations/owner is operating the commercial fishing vessel.
- Must have a current/valid driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
