Typical Office Hours:
· Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
· Tuesday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
· Saturday: 7:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Technicians participate in a rotating Saturday schedule, typically working only one to two Saturday mornings per month. Our office is generally closed on Thursdays and Sundays.

Previous medical office, optometric, or ophthalmic experience is preferred, but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate who brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help patients. Ophthalmic/Optometric Technician Responsibilities
· Provide exceptional patient care by performing pre-testing, collecting medical and ocular history, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting doctors with additional testing as needed.
· Operate specialized diagnostic equipment, including but not limited to lensometers, autorefractors, OCT, Optos retinal imaging, Humphrey visual field analyzers, corneal topographers, pachymeters, and I-Care tonometers.
· Thrive in a fast-paced environment by efficiently managing multiple tasks and patients while ensuring every patient receives outstanding, personalized care.
· Maintain a friendly, professional, and compassionate attitude when interacting with patients, providers, and fellow team members.
· Demonstrate reliability, accountability, and a strong commitment to teamwork and attendance.
· Safeguard patient privacy by maintaining strict confidentiality of all medical, personal, and financial information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
· Accurately document and update patient information within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
· Assist with electronic prescribing and prescription management as directed by providers.
· Serve as a communication liaison between patients and providers by handling phone messages and facilitating timely follow-up.
· Monitor and maintain inventory levels of clinical supplies and notify appropriate staff when restocking is needed.
· Participate in a rotating Saturday morning schedule as part of the clinical team.
