Callanan Veterinary Group (CVG) is a growing group of privately owned veterinary hospitals dedicated to providing exceptional patient care while fostering supportive, high-performing teams. We are seeking an Assistant Hospital Manager or Hospital Manager who will play a key leadership role in our hospitals while also working clinically as a veterinary technician.
This hybrid role is ideal for an experienced veterinary technician who enjoys leadership, mentoring team members, and helping hospital operations run smoothly.
About the Role
The Assistant Hospital Manager / Hospital Manager works closely with leadership to support daily operations while also contributing hands-on in the hospital as a veterinary technician. This position helps ensure efficient workflows, supports team members, and maintains the high standards of care and service that CVG is known for.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
- Support daily hospital operations including staffing, scheduling, and workflow management
- Assist with onboarding, and training new team members
- Help coach and support staff performance and professional development
- Address team concerns and help resolve workplace conflicts professionally
- Support hospital scheduling needs
- Maintain compliance with veterinary regulations
- Help implement operational improvements and efficiency initiatives
- Assist with resolving client concerns and maintaining excellent service standards
Clinical Responsibilities
- Work regularly on the floor as a veterinary technician supporting doctors and patients
- Assist with patient care, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory work, and treatment plans
- Help maintain hospital standards of patient safety and medical care
- Support and mentor veterinary assistants and technicians
Qualifications
- Previous veterinary technician experience required
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a veterinary hospital strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical work
- Passion for supporting teams and delivering excellent patient care

Pay: $16.50 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
