Overview
Hickory Pet Inn is a busy, full service, dog and cat boarding facility located in Plymouth Meeting, PA. We are seeking dedicated and compassionate full-time Kennel Care Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. As a Kennel Care Technician, you will ensure that all pets receive the attention, cleanliness, and care they deserve while maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for both animals and their owners.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising dogs and caring for cats.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals
- Ensure proper handling of all animals to maintain safety for both staff and pets.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their animals’ needs and behaviors.
- Perform heavy lifting as required for animal handling and cleaning tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to provide excellent customer service and support.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in animal handling or in a kennel environment is a must!
- Customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners.
- Knowledge of basic animal care practices.
- Ability to handle dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments safely.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and/or stand for extended periods.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
- Ability to communicate and work with other team members.
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
