Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations and performance of the Housekeeping department. Responsible for providing supervison to all housekeeping permanent and temporary team member including; housekeepers, laundry attendants, housepersons, supervisors, and inspectors. The Housekeeping Manager implements company programs, ensures compliance with policies and procedures, and motivates associates to ensure an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are provided to hotel guests.
Job Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of housekeeping staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating performance
- Create schedules for the housekeeping team, including preparing daily charts and assigning special projects as needed.
- Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ordering supplies as needed, and maintaining records of supplies used
- Review employee work performance to ensure that it meets standards of quality and efficiency
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure that they are clean and safe
- Update and manage lost and found inventory, ensuring a seamless process for logging items and returning them to their owners
- Monitors Quore communication logs, responding promptly to guest requests for service
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Ensure all company policies and brand standards are being administered consistently and standard operating procedures are being followed
- Informs the General Manager of any unique situations or unusual developments in Housekeeping department.
- Assist with all emergencies at the property and handle them appropriately
- Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity
- Ensure all housekeeping equipment is in good working condition
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Assist department, as needed.
- Additional duties, as required.
Qualifications:
- Over (3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required.
- Over (2) years of leadership experience Required
- Knowledge of ONQ PMS system, preferred.
- Self-starting and outgoing personality with a pleasant disposition, and strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to communicate in a professional manner with guests and visitors.
Physical Environment
The position performs indoors.
The position constantly requires the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; regularly requires movement about the building, utilizing stairs; and the operation of computers and office equipment.
The position frequently requires moving items up to 25 lbs.
The position occasionally requires moving items up to 50 lbs.
The position frequently requires moving in a stooping, kneeling, crouching or, crawling position.

-The hotel operates seven days per week, twenty-four hours per day; schedules are reflective of business needs and employees may be requested to be available to work on days, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.
