Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced CDL Dump Truck Driver specializing in asphalt paving to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport asphalt, aggregate, and other materials to various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries and contribute to the successful completion of paving projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale infrastructure projects, utilizing your skills in construction site operations and heavy equipment handling. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including dump trucks and other heavy equipment, to deliver asphalt and construction materials across multiple job sites.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of materials using loaders, excavators, or other machinery as needed.
- Support paving operations by coordinating with the crew to ensure proper material placement and adherence to project specifications.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, daily reports, and communication with project managers regarding progress and any logistical concerns.
- Assist with concrete-related tasks such as concrete mixing, pumping, finishing, or rebar installation when required.
- Follow all safety protocols and construction site regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating dump trucks within a construction or paving environment.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including loaders, excavators, concrete mixers, and pumps.
- Familiarity with asphalt paving processes, concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation is highly desirable.
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is a plus.
- Prior experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, long periods of driving or standing, and operating machinery efficiently.
