Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Noc Med Passer / Caregiver to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide essential medication administration and resident support during overnight hours in a caring, respectful environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure residents receive safe, timely care, fostering comfort and well-being throughout the night. Duties
- Administer medications accurately and safely according to prescribed schedules, following all protocols and documentation procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and overall health status during your shift, reporting any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, mobility assistance with Hoyer lifts, and toileting support
- Provide compassionate care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques
- Support residents with assisted living needs by preparing meals, helping with feeding if necessary, and maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Document all care activities thoroughly in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards
- Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents during the night shift, coordinating with emergency responders when needed
Requirements
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring is essential
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is advantageous
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in Alzheimer's or dementia care are a plus
- Ability to operate EMR systems efficiently and accurately document resident information
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and residents’ families
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to resident outings or errands (if applicable)
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care during overnight hours
