Aquarium Design and Maintenance company expanding throughout Chicagoland area and Suburbs is looking for dependable a maintenance and warehouse technician. If you enjoy working with salt water or fresh water aquariums, this is an opportunity to use your knowledge toward your new career! This Company is based in Crystal Lake, IL. All technicians are required to report to the warehouse on scheduled work days to pick up and load work vans for daily aquarium maintenance or warehouse/fish room duties. Must have knowledge of salt water OR fresh water aquariums. A clean driving record and some heavy lifting is required. Hourly rate is determined by experience. Training program is provided for advancement. Hourly pay raises based on increased knowledge and responsibilities.
The Role of Aquarium Warehouse Technician:
- Apply skills toward maintaining clean organized warehouse.
- Ability to retain knowledge of Aquatic Life Support Systems (Filtration Systems, chillers, heaters, automated feeders, air pumps, reactors, and protein skimmers.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair Aquatic Life Support Systems.
- Ability to recognize and care for sick aquatic life (fish & corals).
- Ability to understand water chemistry to maintain the health of fish and corals.
Job Requirements:
- Must have valid Diver's License & reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a needed bases.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
- Must have basic understanding of aquarium keeping.
- Must be punctual and have communication skills.
- Mechanical or other technical experience preferred.
- Plumbing & Basic Electrical experience preferred.
- Aquarium Industry experience preferred.
- Aquarium Hobbyist preferred.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
