Position Overview
TownePlace Suites Daytona Beach Oceanfront is seeking an outgoing and reliable Bartender / Server to join our food & beverage team. In this dual-role position, you will deliver exceptional customer service by preparing beverages, serving food, and providing guests with a memorable oceanfront experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly, take food and beverage orders, and make menu recommendations.
- Mix, pour, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to hotel standards and local alcohol service laws (TIPS/ServSafe).
- Maintain complete knowledge of food and beverage menu items, daily specials, and hotel amenities.
- Process guest checks and accurately handle cash and credit card transactions using the POS system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, dining tables, and server stations.
- Assist with prep work, opening/closing duties, restocking inventory, and maintaining sanitation standards.
- Check identification to confirm guests meet the legal drinking age.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of bartending or food service experience preferred (hotel or high-volume resort experience is a plus).
- Certifications: TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol certification preferred (or willing to obtain upon hire).
- Skills: Strong customer service, multi-tasking, communication, and cash-handling skills.
- Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol. Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs throughout a shift. Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
