Newfound Area School District is seeking a motivated, adaptable, and dedicated individual to join their multidisciplinary team of educators for the 2026-2027 school year. This position is highly collaborative, working closely with school counselors, administrators, nurses, special education professionals, teachers, community agencies and families to support students needs at all levels. The district-wide school social worker will play a crucial role in our students social, emotional, and academic well-being.RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE: McKinney-Vento LiaisonFacilitate suicide prevention training for staff, middle, and high school studentsCoordinate and plan with outside providers such as DCYFAssist parents/guardians in accessing and utilizing school and community resourcesAdministration and staff collaborationServe on student support teamsAssist schools with truancy/absence concernsHome visits and court hearings when necessaryHelp identify social/emotional needs of students and help support the implementation of a plan of supportMaintain accurate case recordsCompile annual reports
