The Athletics Department at Bryant University invites applications for the Operations and Facilities Intern position. Bryant University is an NCAA Division I program, sponsoring 25 varsity sports, and is a member of the America East Conference as well as an associate member of the Coastal Athletic Association, Big South, and East Coast Conferences. This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Operations (or designated athletics administrator).
The Operations and Facilities Intern will assist with the daily management, preparation, and maintenance of athletic facilities, as well as support event operations for Bryant Athletics. This role provides hands-on experience in NCAA Division I athletic facility management, event operations, and game day execution. This is a 10 month internship position designed to provide immersive, practical experience throughout the academic year.
Compensation and Term:
This is a 10 month internship position that includes university sponsored housing, a meal plan, and a monthly stipend. Additional compensation details, work schedule, and start/end dates will be determined based on departmental needs and candidate eligibility.

Principal Accountabilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the daily operations and maintenance of athletic facilities, including setup and breakdown for practices and competitions
- Supporting facility readiness by ensuring venues are clean, safe, and prepared for use
- Assisting with event setup and breakdown, including equipment, signage, tables, and chairs
- Supporting game day operations for home athletic events, including field/court preparation and operational logistics
- Assisting with monitoring facility usage and reporting maintenance or operational issues
- Supporting inventory management, including tracking and organizing athletic equipment and supplies
- Assisting with event staffing needs, including coordination of student workers and game day personnel
- Supporting crowd management, event flow, and customer service during athletic events
- Collaborating with ticketing, marketing, and external relations staff to ensure smooth and professional event execution
- Assisting with special events, postseason contests, and externally hosted events
- Supporting administrative tasks such as scheduling, work orders, facility logs, and operational reports
- Performing other duties as assigned
This position requires availability on nights, weekends, and select holidays, based on athletic event schedules.
Qualifications
Current undergraduate or graduate student in sport management, business, facility management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in athletic operations, facilities management, or event operations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, event driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to perform physical tasks, including lifting and prolonged standing
- Experience working in athletics, facilities, or event management preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
