Change Paths: Traveling Field Engineer Internship
Finishing a trade or tech program and realizing it is not what you expected can be frustrating. It does not mean you are starting over.
At LightPath, we work with individuals who already think technically but want a different direction. This paid internship is designed to help you transition into utility field engineering where you can apply your skills in a more active environment.
Over 60 days, you will learn by doing. You will travel to job sites, map infrastructure, and work through real problems in the field. It is practical, hands on, and focused on building real experience.
This is a performance based role. Your income reflects your output. Some people build momentum over time, while others grow quickly depending on their effort.
What to Expect Long Term (Ownership Path):[Text Wrapping Break]You will start with a paid 60 day internship where you build skill and confidence in the field.
After that, you will transition into a 1099 independent contractor role where you operate independently and take ownership of your work. Your income is tied to what you produce, and you have the flexibility to grow this into something long term.
You will also take on responsibility for your travel and lodging as you move into that next phase.
