Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Robotic Installation Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will lead the installation, integration, and commissioning of advanced robotic systems across diverse manufacturing and automation environments. Your expertise will drive seamless system setup, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities
- Support robot installation through buyoff, customer acceptance, and production support
- Provide timely written reports that include progress, issues, status updates, and on-site planning
- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous communications to customers
- Track and report issues and their resolution
- Robot installation issue analysis and resolution
- Provide cross functional support to various departments, including project management and Engineering
- Perform intricate repairs on robot mechanical units and controllers, including robot motors and cabling
- Retrofit robot peripheral and internal hardware such as dressouts, uports, wire harnesses, RTUs, etc.
- Upgrade and configure robot software
- Assist in the overall robot process improvement
Ideal candidate will have the following experience and education:
- Associate’s Degree in Engineering, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in automation
- 5+ years of robotic automation experience that includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and software debug
- Electrical and communication troubleshooting
- Hardware retrofits and repairs to robot mechanical units and controllers
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to endure physical work using various hand tools
- Ability to work for hours standing and walking in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks efficiently
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs and work on ladders
- Must be able to travel for work
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $43.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 65.0 per week
