The Childs Law Firm, LLC is an acclaimed law firm, a repeat Super Lawyer, Rank Top 10 Injury Lawyer that concentrates in complex litigation, resolution of disputes and large recoveries for personal injury, high conflict family court, criminal defense and public interest issues. We are looking for an astute well organized Legal Assistant who must be able to interact with the public, opposing council, judges and court personnel, take initiative, is well versed in electronic documents preparation, proofing and storage and in scheduling, calendar management and docketing.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a Full Caseload: Effectively handle a flow of new cases while maintaining detailed organization and accuracy for existing files to ensure deadlines are met and tasks are prioritized.
Calendar & Deadline Management: Keep meticulous track of attorney schedules, docket deadlines, hearings, and appointments. Regularly check dockets and confirm that all critical dates are properly calendared and maintained.
Client Interaction: Confidently answer phones, address client inquiries professionally, and welcome walk-in clients with a helpful and approachable attitude.
Drafting & Legal Support: Assist attorneys and senior paralegals with drafting legal documents, assembling case files, and preparing for court.
Administrative Tasks: Perform a variety of office responsibilities, including managing office supplies and ensuring the office is well-maintained and presentable.
Front Office Duties: Serve as the face of the firm by managing front-office responsibilities such as greeting visitors, ensuring the reception area is tidy, and keeping the office running smoothly.
Errands & Filing: Occasionally handle filings and errands with efficiency and reliability. Must have reliable transportation to manage these tasks as needed.
Organization & Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of organization across all areas, from files to office supplies, ensuring everything is where it needs to be and nothing falls through the cracks.
Team Support & Initiative: Work closely with attorneys and senior paralegals, taking on tasks proactively and contributing to the overall success of the team.
Exciting Environment. Must be focused and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment with a heavy caseload and frequent walk-in clients.
Schedule:
- Office Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
- In-Person Position: This role requires full-time, on-site attendance.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour with opportunities for growth and competitive bonuses.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Knowledge of the legal field is required; 2 years previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is strongly preferred. Candidates without prior legal experience will not be considered
- Skills:
o Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
o Exceptional multitasking, organizational, and time-management skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Zoom, WebEx, etc.).
o Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with clients and team
members.
o Detail-oriented and able to maintain accuracy while working quickly.
- Professionalism: Must maintain a polished and professional demeanor in all client and team interactions.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation is required for errands and filings.
- Work Ethic: Highly reliable, proactive, and eager to learn and grow within the firm.
