Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Active credentials with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with ACLS preferred
- Experience in acute care, trauma, or neonatal intensive care is desirable
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver a spectrum of respiratory therapies and interventions to patients of varying age groups
- Assess, monitor, and record patient responses before, during, and after respiratory therapy treatments
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Operate and maintain sophisticated respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems
- Provide care in specialty units, including trauma, neonatal ICU, pediatrics, and adult critical care, as needed
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and home therapies to support ongoing wellness
