Position Overview
The Measure Technician is responsible for performing precise, on‑site measurements for kitchen refacing and remodeling projects. This role is critical to project accuracy, material ordering, installation success, and overall client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, comfortable in client homes, and experienced with cabinetry, carpentry, or construction measurement workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
1. On‑Site Measurement & Assessment
· Conduct detailed, accurate measurements of existing kitchens, including cabinets, doors, drawer fronts, appliances, countertops, and structural elements.
· Full understanding of cabinet door hinge overlays
· Capture all required dimensions for refacing materials, new cabinets, fillers, moldings, and accessories.
· Verify appliance specifications and ensure compatibility with planned designs.
2. Technical Documentation
· Produce clear, complete measurement reports for the design, production, and installation teams.
· Drawings required, floor plan, elevations of each wall, countertop drawing, backsplash drawing among others.
· Create annotated sketches with installation instructions for install team using KCD design.
· Use photos and drawings to produce a professional binder for in office ordering and product binder for installation team.
· Build product list required for installation of sold products.
3. Client Interaction
· Serve as a professional, friendly representative of the company during in‑home visits.
· Confirm design selections, door styles, finishes, hardware, and layout details with the client.
· Communicate any site conditions that may affect design, pricing, or installation timelines.
· Provide reassurance and clarity about the next steps in the remodeling process.
4. Quality & Risk Management
· Identify potential installation challenges early and flag them for the design/production team.
· Ensure all measurements meet company accuracy standards to prevent rework or delays.
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, respectful presence in client homes.
Required Skills & Experience:
· 2+ years of experience in cabinetry, carpentry, kitchen remodeling, or related trades.
· Strong understanding of cabinet construction, Faceframe and frameless, refacing process, and installation requirements.
· High accuracy in measuring with tape measures, lasers, levels, and digital tools.
· Ability to read and interpret design plans, elevations, and technical drawings.
· Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
· Comfortable using tablets, measurement apps, or project management software.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience specifically in kitchen refacing (big plus).
· Familiarity with European and American cabinet systems (frameless vs. face‑frame).
· Ability to identify structural issues, moisture problems, or code‑related concerns.
· Background in measuring for custom refacing, countertops and cabinets.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
