Job Summary:
Cargo Shell Express is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cargo Loading Specialist to support our logistics and freight operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely loading, organizing, securing, and preparing cargo for transportation while ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight, packages, pallets, and other cargo according to established procedures.
- Organize cargo to maximize available space while maintaining proper weight distribution.
- Inspect shipments for visible damage and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Verify shipment labels, quantities, and documentation before loading.
- Properly secure cargo using straps, pallets, protective materials, and other approved equipment.
- Follow loading schedules and ensure shipments are prepared for timely departure.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts when authorized.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe loading area.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable workplace regulations.
- Communicate with warehouse, shipping, and transportation teams regarding cargo status.
- Assist with inventory counts and shipment verification when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, freight, cargo handling, or logistics experience is preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and move packages and cargo.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic understanding of shipping and warehouse procedures.
- Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
Pay: $19.40 - $21.20 per hour
