Innovative Technologies Corporation (ITC) is seeking two (2) Web Content Specialists to support a proposal for the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) research communications, publications, and web content program. Both positions are designated Key Personnel.
Work may be performed from the FHWA office in McLean, Virginia, a Washington, DC office, or another designated office, depending on Government requirements.
The Web Content Specialists will write and edit digital content, manage reviews, publish and maintain content through agency content management systems, support staff training and outreach, and ensure agency websites and intranets remain accurate, accessible, current, and optimized for users and search engines.
Clearance and Suitability
None. This is an unclassified position. The selected candidate must be able to successfully complete any required USDOT suitability processing and obtain a Government-issued Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential if required for facility or system access.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in web content management.
- At least 3 years of web content management experience completed within the last 5 years.
- Experience writing and editing web content and documentation.
- Experience developing effective training materials and delivering outreach training or presentations to staff.
- Experience using a content management system to upload, maintain, and publish website or intranet content.
- Experience optimizing web content for search engines and ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Ability to perform content and data quality control and manage content review processes.
- Ability to use graphic applications to crop, recolor, resize, and otherwise prepare web images.
Desired Qualifications
- Transportation experience, particularly highway or surface transportation.
- Experience supporting Federal websites or intranets.
- Experience coordinating periodic content certification or content-governance reviews.
- Experience with database content administration, excluding programming.
- Knowledge of plain language, web usability, information architecture, or web analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit, review, and maintain content for agency websites and intranets.
- Manage content reviews and coordinate approval processes before publication.
- Use agency content management systems to upload, maintain, and publish content.
- Optimize web content for search engines and user accessibility.
- Ensure web pages comply with Section 508 accessibility requirements.
- Develop effective training materials and provide outreach training to staff.
- Coordinate the agency's quarterly certification process for current and accurate information.
- Perform quality control of website data and content.
- Crop, recolor, resize, and manipulate web images using graphic applications.
- Coordinate web content processes, procedures, and stakeholder activities.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this contingent-hire position is $80,000-$88,000, based on qualifications and experience. ITC offers medical, dental, and vision benefits; 10 days of paid time off; 7 days of sick leave; and other available company benefits.
This is a contingent position for a proposal ITC is bidding on. ITC anticipates contract award before January 1, 2027. Published July 30, 2026. Additional information will be provided during the interview process.
