Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team at our new location in downtown Walnut Creek. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing the daily operations; ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high standards and accountability in all aspects of the restaurant. You will play a key role in training and managing staff, inventory control, and creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests. Having an understanding of Federal, State and local laws is essential for the success of this role.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and quality service.
- Supervise and train staff, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Oversee food production processes to maintain quality standards and compliance with health regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Handle cash management duties, including cash handling procedures and daily reconciliation.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Utilize Toast POS system for transactions, order processing, and reporting.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure menu items are prepared to specifications and presented attractively.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Italian food, wine and culture is a bonus.
- Experience with beverage (coffee, cocktail, etc.)preparation and service is a plus.
- Proficient in inventory control methods to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and train a diverse team effectively.
- Outstanding guest service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with Toast POS and Toast Payroll is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail in financial transactions.
- Must be up to date on all CA required certifications (2 Hour Supervisor Anti-Harassment training, RBS-ABC, and CA Food Handler)

Pay: $75,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
