Our team designs and builds conveyors, processing equipment, and custom fabrication projects for major clients. Position Summary
The Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for sourcing materials, creating purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining inventory levels, and helping ensure projects have the materials needed to stay on schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management.
No previous purchasing experience is required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates initiative, urgency, and a strong desire to learn.
Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders using QuickBooks
- Source materials and obtain quotes from vendors
- Purchase steel, stainless steel, motors, bearings, conveyor components, electrical components, pneumatics, fabrication consumables, and other project materials
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain inventory accuracy
- Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules when appropriate
- Compare quotes and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain purchasing records and documentation
- Coordinate with shop personnel regarding material needs and inventory requirements
- Follow up on backorders, shortages, and vendor issues
- Assist in developing purchasing and inventory processes as the company continues to grow
Qualifications

- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with QuickBooks is a plus
