Job Title: Tanker DriverJob Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Tanker Driver to transport liquid goods such as fuel, chemicals, or food-grade products. The ideal candidate will operate tanker trucks in compliance with traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while ensuring timely and secure delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquid cargo to designated locations
- Load and unload tanker contents following proper safety procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and logs
- Follow DOT, company, and environmental safety regulations
- Report vehicle issues, accidents, or delays promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of assigned vehicle
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with tanker endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of safety procedures for transporting liquid or hazardous materials
- Ability to operate pumping and loading equipment
- Physically able to handle job demands (climbing, lifting hoses, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement (if transporting hazardous materials)
- Previous tanker or long-haul driving experience
- Familiarity with GPS and electronic logging devices (ELD)
Working Conditions
- Long hours and extended driving periods
- Exposure to various weather conditions
- May include nights, weekends, or holidays
