Overview

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in toddlers
- Supervise and interact with children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support children in developing essential skills such as communication, sharing, and independence through engaging activities
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, needs, and milestones
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices and emergency procedures
- Collaborate with team members to create a cohesive and nurturing classroom atmosphere that celebrates diversity and individual growth
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings. 2+ years of experience in a licensed child care facility strongly preferred, and preference will be given to applicants with relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and licensing guidelines specific to toddlers
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- First aid certification and knowledge of safety procedures for young children preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members
- Familiarity with early childhood education best practices and curriculum planning
- Compassionate caregiving skills combined with energetic enthusiasm for teaching young learners
- Ability to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of children at different developmental stages
- An active member of a Christian congregation is required.
