Founded in 2009, Pikes Peak Respite Services is a family-owned and operated human services agency dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families.

Direct Support Providers build meaningful relationships with individuals while helping them participate more fully in their homes and communities.
Depending on the individual and authorized services, providers may assist with:
- Respite care
- Mentorship
- Community-based activities
- Community connection

- Non-medical personal care
- Specialized habilitation services
Providers follow individualized plans and applicable guidelines while promoting safety, independence, dignity, and personal choice.
Child & Youth Mentor
Child & Youth Mentors provide individualized support to children and youth while working collaboratively with families and other members of the support team.
Mentors help children and youth develop positive relationships, strengthen skills, participate in their communities, and work toward individualized goals.
Depending on the individual's needs, mentors may also help support stabilization, prevent crises, and reduce the risk of out-of-home placement.
Mentors may collaborate with families, schools, therapists, case managers, and other professionals to help provide coordinated and consistent support.

Qualifications
Qualifications vary by position and service but may include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities preferred, but not required for all positions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Professionalism, dependability, and a commitment to individualized care
- Ability to complete required background checks and screenings
- Ability to complete required training
- Willingness to document services through our web-based system
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record when required for the position or service

Compensation
Employees: $20.00–$31.25 per hour
Independent Contractors: $22.00–$38.00 per hour
