Silver Trucking is seeking a motivated and organized Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to oversee the maintenance and repair of our fleet. This position is responsible for ensuring our equipment remains safe, compliant, and operating efficiently while minimizing downtime and controlling maintenance costs.

Responsibilities
- Schedule preventative maintenance for tractors and trailers
- Coordinate roadside breakdowns and emergency repairs
- Communicate with drivers regarding maintenance concerns
- Obtain repair estimates and authorize repairs within company guidelines
- Coordinate repairs with dealerships, vendors, and repair facilities
- Track equipment downtime and ensure repairs are completed promptly
- Build Work Orders
- Review repair invoices for accuracy
- Maintain maintenance records and ensure DOT compliance
- Track annual inspections, preventative maintenance schedules, and warranty repairs
- Monitor equipment availability and communicate repair status with operations
- Identify recurring equipment issues and recommend long term solutions
- Help manage vendor relationships and control maintenance expenses
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in fleet maintenance, trucking, or diesel equipment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple repairs and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of heavy duty truck maintenance
- Experience working with repair vendors and service providers
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
- Self motivated with strong attention to detail
Compensation
- Base Salary: $60,000 per year
- Plus up to $10,000 in annual performance bonuses, paid quarterly based on KPIs
