Join our dynamic team as a Full-Time or Part-Time Axe Throwing Coach & Escape Room Games Master, where energy, enthusiasm, and safety come together to create unforgettable experiences! In this role, you'll lead engaging axe throwing sessions and oversee a variety of fun, interactive games at our immersive entertainment venue. Your passion for entertaining, teaching, and developing community spaces will help guests of all ages enjoy safe, memorable adventures. This position offers the perfect opportunity to develop your skills in event management, guest engagement, and safety protocols while working in a lively environment that celebrates teamwork and fun.
We are hiring one full time and four part-time individuals. Hours are mostly afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Responsibilities
- As an Axe Coach you will lead and instruct guests in throwing techniques, ensuring proper form and safety procedures are followed at all times
- As Games Master, you will need to provide an immersive customer experience with reading lines in character, resetting escape rooms after each session and monitoring the escape rooms for clues, safety and fun!
- Manage a variety of games and activities, providing clear instructions and maintaining high energy levels to keep guests engaged
- Monitor guest behavior to uphold safety standards
- Enforce safety protocols rigorously, including manual handling procedures and emergency response actions such as CPR and first aid when necessary
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and venue maintenance to ensure a clean, organized environment for all visitors
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems; handle cash handling with integrity and attention to detail
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions, offering recommendations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for diverse audiences including children and families
Skills
- Experience in axe throwing and escape rooms is not necessary,
- Proven experience in customer facing rolls
- Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations professionally and calmly
- Capable of responding effectively during emergencies
- Experience working with children or in family-friendly venues is highly desirable
- Familiarity with retail sales, cash handling, processing transactions through POS systems, and manual handling techniques
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and food service operations if applicable
- Excellent customer service skills paired with confident public speaking abilities to engage groups of all sizes
- Previous experience in resort or theater environments is a plus; comfort working in higher energy environments a plus
