Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children
- Support early childhood development through engaging teaching methods and activity planning tailored to each child's needs
- Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Administer first aid or CPR in emergency situations while remaining calm and professional
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage respectful interactions and emotional regulation
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older. Be able to fully work the job during your scheduled hours and days.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required, but will be able to obtain after employment ; ongoing training is required
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus, demonstrating adaptability and inclusive caregiving skills
- Strong communication skills between parents, guardians, and team members
- Ability to plan engaging activities that support physical, emotional, and cognitive growth
- On the job training will be required
