About ICTC:
Inner Child Theater Camp is a creative, joy-forward adult theater camp experience built around play, music, movement, community, and self-expression. Our campers come to us to reconnect with creativity, stretch outside their comfort zones, and feel part of something warm, brave, and welcoming.
We are a fast-growing company with a big heart and a lot of moving pieces. The right team members are organized, kind, flexible, emotionally intelligent, and excited to help create a camper experience that feels thoughtful, human, and well-supported from first inquiry through camp weekend and beyond.
About the Role:
ICTC is growing quickly, and we are looking for a warm, organized, detail-oriented person to serve as the primary day-to-day owner of camper support, payment follow-up, customer-service workflows, and camper experience operations. This role will work independently within clear ICTC policies and systems, while staying closely connected with the team when coordination or escalation is needed. This person will help make sure campers feel cared for, questions get answered, payments and support issues are tracked, and customer matters are resolved thoughtfully, consistently, and in accordance with ICTC’s policies. With rare exception, this person is expected to be the first-line decision-maker for camper/customer issues and should escalate only when a matter falls outside policy, presents unusual sensitivity or risk, or requires leadership approval.
Core Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary owner of daily camper support workflows, including tracking tasks, follow-ups, and handoffs with administrative support team members;
- Oversee customer-service workflows and help ensure tasks are completed timely;
- Review and support camper-facing communications as needed to help ensure accuracy, completeness, tone, policy consistency, and appropriate follow-through;
- Comfortably communicate with campers/customers by email, text, and phone/video calls as needed to work through questions, concerns, payment issues, transfers, or other support matters;
- Independently evaluate and resolve routine and moderately complex camper/customer matters pursuant to ICTC policies;
- Track payment failures and follow-up;
- Support camper transfers, payment-plan questions, and camp prep communications;
- Help track and manage dispute documentation and handoffs;
- Use Asana and Slack to track daily work and team accountability;
- Identify recurring support issues, policy gaps, and operational friction points, and help turn them into repeatable processes, templates, FAQs, SOPs, or proposed new policies as the company grows;
- Escalate sensitive or out-of-policy issues appropriately, with a clear summary, relevant background, and a recommended resolution or next step.
This role will work daily with an existing administrative support team member who is already a key part of ICTC’s support operations. The right person for this role should be comfortable giving clear direction, reviewing open tasks, following up on deadlines, answering questions, helping prioritize workload, providing constructive feedback and mentorship, and creating a friendly, respectful, productive working rhythm with another team member.
Minimum qualifications:
Must have working knowledge of, and practical experience using, Asana, Google Docs/Google Workspace, and Slack in a professional or team-based setting. Candidate should be comfortable tracking tasks, collaborating in shared documents, communicating in organized channels/threads, and learning new systems quickly.
Professional qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in customer support, client services, operations coordination, executive/admin support, project coordination, hospitality, events, education, or another people-facing role requiring strong communication, follow-through, organization, and judgment.
Who may be a great fit:
ICTC is growing fast, and our team members often need to be flexible, proactive, and willing to help across related areas as needs evolve. The ideal candidate is motivated, responsive, kind, organized, calm under volume/pressure, detail-oriented, comfortable with systems, and willing to work in a fast-moving startup environment.
Who may not be a great fit:
Someone who needs every task to be fully predictable, struggles with customer follow-up, dislikes systems/tools, shies away from hard conversations, is resistant to change, or gets overwhelmed by high-volume communication.
Don’t meet every single qualification? Please still apply.
We care about experience, but we also care about warmth, thoughtfulness, communication, emotional intelligence, and a genuine desire to help people feel supported.
