The Cloud Sales Representative I is a quota-carrying sales professional responsible for generating new business opportunities and closing small-to-mid-size cloud deals across infrastructure, SaaS, and managed services.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
- Generate new business through outbound prospecting (calls, email, LinkedIn, networking)
- Identify and qualify cloud migration opportunities
- Maintain a minimum 3x pipeline coverage ratio
- Convert inbound leads into qualified opportunities
- Build target account lists by vertical
Sales Execution
- Carry and close an annual revenue quota ($750K – $1.5M depending on territory)
- Sell recurring cloud services and licensing agreements
- Conduct discovery calls and basic solution positioning
- Collaborate with technical engineers for solution design
- Prepare proposals and pricing structures
- Protect margin in all deal negotiations
Operational Discipline
- Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline tracking
- Participate in weekly forecast reviews
- Achieve forecast accuracy within defined expectations
Quota & Performance Expectations
- Annual Revenue Target: $750,000 – $1,500,000
- Recurring Revenue Growth Focus (ARR/MRR targets)
- Maintain 3x pipeline coverage
- Weekly outbound activity minimums
- 100%+ quota attainment expectation
This role requires consistent pipeline generation — not account maintenance.
Compensation Structure
Base Salary: $50,000 – $70,000
Commission Plan:
- 6%–8% of gross margin on closed deals
- Accelerator at 100%+ quota
- Enhanced accelerator at 115%+ quota
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $90,000 – $120,000+
Uncapped earnings potential
Top performers who drive recurring revenue will exceed OTE.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years in technology, SaaS, or B2B sales
- Strong interest in cloud and recurring revenue models
- Demonstrated ability to meet performance goals
- High outbound activity discipline
- CRM experience preferred
- Strong communication and discovery skills
Preferred Qualifications
