Purpose:
Outside Sales Representatives are responsible for calling existing customer bases of independent lumberyards and prospecting for new accounts within their territory. This includes route planning, call planning, business development, product training, and product demonstrations, as well as resolving customer service issues and meeting all goals.
Key Responsibilities:

Recommend products based on customer needs and provide detailed information on pricing, availability, warranties, and credit terms.

Contact and follow up with current and prospective customers to demonstrate and explain product features.

Prepare estimates, bids, contracts, and order forms tailored to customer requirements.

Provide post-sale support and resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction and retention.

Identify new sales opportunities through directories, referrals, networking, and trade events.

Participate in industry organizations and trade shows to expand market reach and maintain industry knowledge.
Qualifications:

1 – 2 years of Inside and/or Outside Sales experience

Experience in the Building Materials industry or related, preferred
-
Qualified applicants must live in or be willing to relocate to the sales territory
