Full-Time Nanny Needed
Location: North Stamford, CT
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–6:30 PM
Hours: 40–45 hours per week
Compensation: $27–$34 per hour, based on experience, skills, and qualifications
Start Date: Flexible
A warm family in North Stamford, CT is seeking a loving, reliable, and safety-focused full-time nanny for their 1-year-old child. The family is also expecting a new baby in December, so the role will eventually include care for both children.
This is a Monday–Thursday position, with Fridays covered by a family member. The ideal candidate is warm, nurturing, experienced with infants and toddlers, and confident balancing childcare with household support during nap times.
Responsibilities
- Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for the 1-year-old child.
- Assist with care for the new baby once the baby is born in December.
- Maintain a safe, loving, and engaging environment for the children.
- Follow daily routines, including meals, naps, playtime, outings, and activities.
- Plan and engage the child in age-appropriate activities that support learning, development, and play.
- Take appropriate safety precautions at home, during outings, and while driving.
- Drive the child to activities, classes, appointments, and outings as needed.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child.
- Help with household duties during nap times, including organizing, and general household support.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional childcare experience.
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers.
- Loving, warm, patient, and safety-focused approach to childcare.
- Strong, confident driver with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable caring for two young children once the new baby is born.
- Reliable, organized, proactive, and able to help the household run smoothly.
- Excellent professional references.
Compensation
Compensation is $27–$34 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. Paid vacation and holidays are provided as well.
