Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of food and drink options to enhance their experience
- Take accurate orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely processing of sales transactions
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to maximize sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments, and give correct change while adhering to cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest needs promptly
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service to provide expert recommendations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest rapport and handle diverse situations gracefully
- Proven ability in time management to prioritize tasks during busy shifts while maintaining quality service
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Experience in food safety practices, sanitation standards, and food handling procedures is essential for maintaining health standards
