This is a Independent contractor position (1099)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Utility Line Locator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground utility lines to ensure safe excavation and construction practices. This role requires a strong understanding of utility systems, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in various field conditions.
Responsibilities
- Ability to travel and drive 50 miles radiuses from city depending on work load for the day
- High level communication skills for clients/Customers
- Experience in safe practices and integrity driven industry
- Availability for 8-10 hour days, 5-6 days a week
- Working outdoors in all types of weather and environments, as well as in and around different types of residential/business settings (some open and operating at the time of service) and locations.
- Physically demanding work that includes a great deal of walking, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and lifting .
- Traveling, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time.
- Potential to drive 40% or more of the day..
- Working in small, tight confined spaces where movement can be restricted
- Adhering to all client work site policies and procedures
- Conduct thorough utility locates using specialized equipment to identify and mark underground utilities.
- Collaborate with construction teams to provide accurate information regarding the location of utilities.
- Maintain detailed records of locate activities and findings.
- Assist in field service operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications:
- Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.
- Ability to pass background check and Drug screen
- 1+ Years in experience in Utility locate Industry a plus
- Able to work full time with an open flexible schedule and willing to work weekends and holidays when necessary to meet client needs/ system demands.
- Flexibility to travel for work orders locally, statewide, or regionally as requested.
- Possess self-driven qualities to effectively manage your own schedule, travel times, and meet client time frames.
- Assume full responsibility for safe operation.

Pay: $1,000.00 - $2,100.00 per week
