Green Electronic Solutions (GES) is seeking dependable, hardworking, and safety-focused individuals to join our team as General Warehouse Worker / Forklift Operators. This hybrid position combines general warehouse responsibilities with forklift operation to support the daily movement, processing, and shipment of electronic recycling materials.
Employees will perform a variety of warehouse tasks throughout the day. Qualified employees with forklift certification and experience will also safely operate powered industrial equipment as needed. The ideal candidate is flexible, safety-minded, and willing to assist wherever needed to keep warehouse operations running efficiently.
General Warehouse Responsibilities
- Sort and separate electronic equipment and recyclable materials according to company procedures.
- Dismantle electronic devices using hand and power tools.
- Load and unload trucks manually when required.
- Stage, organize, and prepare materials for processing or shipment.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies.
- Follow company quality standards and production procedures.
- Support shipping, receiving, production, and recycling departments as assigned.
- Report damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or operational concerns immediately.
- Perform additional warehouse duties as directed by supervisors.
Forklift Operator Responsibilities
- Safely operate sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts to move, stack, stage, and transport materials.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Transport pallets, Gaylords, electronic equipment, and recyclable materials throughout the facility.
- Stage materials for production, storage, and shipping.
- Perform daily pre-operation forklift inspections and complete required inspection reports.
- Report equipment defects, maintenance needs, or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company forklift safety procedures.
- Operate forklifts in a safe manner around pedestrians, equipment, and warehouse traffic.
- Assist with general warehouse duties whenever forklift operation is not required.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, manufacturing, recycling, logistics, or production experience preferred.
- Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus or must be obtained after hire.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment after proper training.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attendance, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electronics recycling or IT Asset Disposition (ITAD).
- Experience operating sit-down forklifts, stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, or clamp trucks.
- Familiarity with warehouse inventory procedures.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- Basic computer or barcode scanning experience.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach throughout the workday.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely for extended periods.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying warehouse conditions, including exposure to dust, noise, and changing temperatures.
