Position Title: JSOU Engagement Coordinator (TS Clearance Required; SCI Eligible)
Position Location: MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL

Background: The Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) mission is to provide relevant joint special operations-peculiar (SO-P) education programs that strengthen the SOF enterprise’s impact on the joint force and the Nation. The Engagement Coordinator supports this mission through the planning, coordination, and execution of JSOU in-resident and virtual engagement events and activities, and through the development and sustainment of academic, interagency, and industry partnerships across the USSOCOM enterprise.
Requirements:
- Plan and coordinate assigned JSOU in-resident and/or virtual engagement events and activities up to the Top Secret level.
- Create and maintain JSOU leadership, staff, and faculty accessible database(s) of SOF education events, speakers, and assigned engagement and activity history.
- Assist with the JSOU strategic engagement plan, focusing on partners, allies, and the SOF Enterprise, enhancing educational opportunities, and complementing key national-level objectives.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the USSOCOM enterprise, academic partners, and industry to identify guest speakers for special operations learning content.
- Work closely with graphic design and multimedia personnel to prepare, create, and edit marketing products for assigned engagement events.
- Assist Strategic Communications and Marketing in the development of engaging social media content.
- Create agendas, invitations, presentations, summaries, and social media releases for assigned engagement events.
- Assemble, review, and present assigned engagement events up to and including TS/SCI material.
- Author, edit, and review agendas and facilitate collaborative meetings in physical and/or virtual environments to coordinate applicable processes and procedures supporting JSOU engagement events.
- Collect, analyze, and assess data to recommend resource requirements in support of JSOU activities.
- Develop after action reviews (AARs) and reports on JSOU engagements to aid decisions that improve the efficiency, quality, and effectiveness of the university.
Job Qualifications (minimum):
- Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Master's degree (MA/MS) in any field from a regionally accredited U.S. college or university, or internationally recognized equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years of Department of Defense experience (military, civilian, or Government contractor).
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an action officer at a Major Command or higher directorate level (Military/GS/Contractor).
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working remotely and with collaborative tools (e.g., MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams).
- Experience with video conferencing platforms (e.g., Adobe Connect, Zoom, and/or Teams).
- Experience with social media platforms (e.g., YouTube, LinkedIn, X/Twitter).
Highly Desired Skills: Military veteran with five (5) or more years of experience as an Engagement Coordinator meeting the aforementioned minimum requirements is highly desired but not exclusionary. Knowledge and experience working with the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU) and the broader USSOCOM enterprise is highly desired.
- Military veteran with five (5) or more years of experience serving as an Engagement Coordinator meeting the minimum requirements above.
- Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the planning, performance, and coordination of Defense Travel System (DTS) administrative actions as either an Organizational Defense Travel Administrator (ODTA) or DTS reviewer.
- Experience coordinating senior leader, general officer/flag officer, or academic partner engagements.
- Previous knowledge of or experience supporting the Joint Special Operations University (JSOU).
