Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students with diverse learning needs through a combination of push-in and pull-out instructional services. This position provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering specialized instruction, collaborating with general education teachers, and implementing individualized supports that help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral success. Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities through both push-in support within the general education classroom and pull-out services in small-group or individualized settings.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, modify instructional materials, and implement accommodations and interventions that support student success.
- Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to address students’ academic, behavioral, communication, and social-emotional needs.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain data on student performance and progress toward IEP goals and objectives.
- Conduct progress monitoring and prepare reports to communicate student growth to families and educational teams.
- Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and collaborate with parents, administrators, related service providers, and support staff to develop and implement effective student support plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student independence, self-advocacy, and confidence.
- Support classroom teachers in implementing behavior intervention plans and differentiated instructional practices.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all special education regulations and district procedures.
- Utilize instructional technology and assistive technology tools to enhance learning and accessibility for students.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborative planning to continuously improve instructional practices and student outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Valid Special Education teaching certification or active enrollment in an Alternative Certification Program with Special Education certification requirements.
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, instructional strategies, and IEP development.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to provide differentiated instruction and implement accommodations and modifications for a variety of learning needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining student records and compliance documentation.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive, student-centered learning environment that supports the success of all learners.
- Experience providing push-in and pull-out special education services is preferred.

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
