Are you a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) looking for a rewarding career in a specialty practice? Our locally owned dermatology office has proudly served the Central New York community for over 20 years, and we're looking for a compassionate, organized, and motivated CMA to join our exceptional team.
No prior dermatology experience? No problem! We provide comprehensive, hands-on training for the right candidate.
What You'll Do:
- Record accurate patient medical histories in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure instructions
- Assist providers during examinations, biopsies, surgeries, and other in-office procedures
- Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
- Stock exam and procedure rooms to ensure they are fully prepared
- Maintain required logs and documentation, including refrigeration logs and specimen tracking
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting daily clinical operations
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification please NO CNA'S Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using computers, iPads, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Dermatology experience is a plus, but not required
