Duties
Night shift, must have dump truck experience
- Operate dump trucks, transport materials such as gravel, dirt, or freight across short and long distances.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems, following designated over-the-road (OTR) driving routes while maintaining timely delivery schedules.
- Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations to ensure safety and legal adherence during all operations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, inspections, and delivery documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before operating the vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route changes, delivery updates, or safety incidents to ensure smooth logistics cargo handling.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery, route driving, or over-the-road (OTR) routes.
- Demonstrated ability to operate tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for optimized delivery schedules.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of vehicle operated
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations for safe transportation practices
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
