Job Summary
Join our dynamic landscaping team as a Landscape Laborer, where your energy and enthusiasm will help create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. In this role, you will be actively involved in grounds maintenance, landscape installation, and outdoor beautification projects. Duties
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor areas pristine.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Support landscape installation projects by planting shrubs, trees, flowers, and installing hardscape features like pathways and retaining walls.
- Maintain irrigation systems by installing, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering of landscapes.
- Identify various plants and horticultural elements to assist with plant care and landscape design.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously during all outdoor work activities to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Perform routine grounds upkeep including debris removal, fertilization, pest management (including pesticide application), and general site cleanup.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge for operating landscaping machinery and troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with landscape maintenance practices such as mowing, edging, pruning, and gardening techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools (shovels, rakes, pruners) and power tools used in landscaping projects.
- Ability to identify different plant species and understand basic horticulture principles.
- Knowledge of pesticide management for safe application and pest control measures.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and repair to ensure healthy landscapes.
- Outdoor work experience demonstrating physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Understanding of safety protocols related to grounds maintenance equipment operation to ensure a safe working environment.
