Who You Are….
As a Summer intern, you are a student who is looking for experience in the construction industry who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and applying yourself to a hands-on project. You are good at understanding and following directions and take pride in the important role you play in building projects and positively impacting communities. This position will provide opportunities to develop relationships with the project managers, shadowing and assisting in their day-to-day tasks, hands-on experience working with site superintendents on commercial jobs. Exposure to our cutting-edge equipment, as well as experience in the Kolde estimating department using ProEst software to prepare project estimates. Some projects that stood out to our previous interns were the KSU Indoor Football Facility and the Jayhawk welcome center
Some of the important things you will do…
Must have a willingness to learn and ask questions.
Work on commercial, industrial, residential, and high-rise projects on small and large buildings.
Must be able to comprehend and implement proper industry and jobsite specific safety rules and regulations.
Must haves….
Enrolled in a post-secondary education.
Ability to stand, stoop, and lift up to 75 lbs.
It’s a plus...
Ownership of hand tools and knowledge of how to use them.
